Mia Smith has twenty years of experience in the non-profit, public, and education sectors. Her sound leadership and operational management abilities complement a growth model leadership style that encourages a result driven team work environment.
Mia has served as an Assistant Vice President of Programs, Director of Affiliates and Strategic Planning, District Coach, and Deputy Director of Women and Fair Practices.She has led national programs including Working Women Vote and Know Your Rights; spearheaded training and domestic policy initiatives, as well as advocacy campaigns grounded in the pursuit of access and equity for all.
Ms. Smith’s extensive background in stakeholder relations, program management, strategic planning, and coalition building demonstrates her expertise in change management and commitment service with a purpose.
Mia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from Virginia Union University, Richmond, VA; a Masters of Public Administration from The University of Akron, Akron, OH; and a K-12 Principal License from The University of North Carolina, Charlotte
