NOVEMBER / DECEMBER 2021 – GIFTS TO AAUW READS PROGRAM
Suzanne Goodell, donor “Every time I donate children’s’ books I research books with a variety of diverse themes. My favorite website offers a wide variety of children’s books grouped into diversity, equity and inclusion categories. For our November book drive, I purchased picture books about African American, Latinx and Muslim characters and cultures. My goal is for children to read these books and celebrate what makes them unique and special.”
Mary Fran Schickedantz, donor “I saw these Discovery Toy “Reading at Home” Sets at a yard sale. It reminded me of how much fun I had reading this series with the Grandchildren. I will keep looking for these to donate to our schools and the young friends we meet through our READS Programs.”
