Meet Diedre Hobbs, a highly experienced Principal Database Engineer/Architect with over 25 years in the industry. Diedre is currently employed at GXO Logistics based in High Point, NC where she has a proven track record of delivering database solutions for top ecommerce retail clients such as Amazon, Apple and Nike. As a key player at GXO Logistics, Diedre has been instrumental in designing, building and managing complex databases as well as ensuring the efficient operation of critical systems.
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and Operations Management from UNC Greensboro, Diedre has a passion for optimizing database performance, security and scalability, and has a reputation for delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of demanding clients.
Additionally, Diedre has garnered recognition as one of the top 50 women leaders at XPO Logistics, a leading provider of transportation and logistics services, where she has been instrumental in transforming the company’s data management capabilities. Diedre has been the recipient of the XPO Logistics Impact Award for four consecutive years for her contributions in the areas of database management systems to the organization.
As the President and Vice President of the Technology Advisory Council for XPO Logistics , Diedre led a cross-functional team of technologists who were instrumental in sharing innovative solutions like block chain and artificial intelligence with the senior leadership, to drive technological advancements and keep the company ahead of the curve in an ever-changing industry.
When Diedre is not working, she enjoys spending time with her college-aged daughter Kennedy at their home in Whitsett, NC. Also as a strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Diedre is dedicated to promoting these values in both her personal and professional life.
