AAUW Board Biography
Stephanie C. Ghotbi-Taheri

Stephanie is a native of the peach state of Georgia and currently resides in Greensboro,
NC. She attended Bennett College and received a Bachelor’s of Art degree in Business
Administration with a concentration in Management from Strayer University. She
also earned an American Management Association (AMA) Certification in Business
Management.
Stephanie most recently worked as Loss Management Quality Review Specialist at
United Guaranty/American International Group (AIG). She has a passion for
generating efficient systems and team development initiatives. During her tenure at
AIG, Stephanie served in numerous leadership roles that helped shape the development
of cross-functional teams within the workplace. Prior to AIG, Stephanie worked with
Procter & Gamble in the Supply Management and Finance & Accounting sectors.
During her 17 years of employment with P&G, Stephanie was assigned to several
project leadership teams to include Crest Whitestrips Project, Health & Beauty Care
Supplier Certification, Contract Manufacturing, Business Resource Planning, SAP
Integration, and Line Startup and Relocation.
During her leisure time, Stephanie enjoys gardening, dancing, cruising, family time,
girls’ night out, sports, volunteering with FIRST Robotics, and working with youth
development programs, especially with STEM.
Stephanie was formally introduced to AAUW during the 2013 “IT is for Girls” Summer
Camp at UNCG where her daughter attended. She felt an obligation to be part of such
a dynamic team of dedicated community leaders who build alliances across
differences. Today, her daughter is better equipped to say “I can and I will” for she
and her daughter have witnessed the transformative work people can accomplish
together through AAUW.
