New member Dianne Vaughan enjoyed her first Greensboro branch program which featured 2016 Woman of the Year Michelle Kennedy, speaker.

 

Mary Fran Schickedanz and Jane Terwillegar went to the Guilford County Schools fair to hand out Triad Tech Savvy fliers

Laura Tew and Mary Ellen Shiflett went to the March in Greensboro with friends. 6000 enthusiastic marches made it impossible to join up with at least a dozen other AAUW marchers – and they had our sign!

 

 

Annual Soup Luncheon – Saturday January 21st 11 AM CUCC

January 21st – Annual  Soup Luncheon, Saturday, 11 AM, Congregational United Church of Christ, CUCC 400 West Radiance Drive. Peggy Knox writes: “We will meet on Saturday, January 21, for our annual soup luncheon. In case of bad weather, our backup date is Saturday, January 28. We are delighted to have Michelle Kennedy as our speaker. Michelle is the director of IRC, Interactive Resource Center. Michelle was the 2016 Greensboro News and Record’s Woman of the Year. The IRC is an innovative day center for people experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. A variety of services are offered including mail service, job skill classes, medical clinic availability, storage lockers and much more.”
