IT FOR GIRLS; INTERSECTION UNCG CAMP JUNE 12 TO 16 2023
Twenty nine 6th through 11th grade girls attended the week-long camp hosted by the UNCG School of Music. The daily program for included:

- Technology and Innovation in the Arts with instructor Charles Norris, MMA Composition and Technology, UNCG 2023
- Maker Space Technology with lead instructors Grace Fei class of 2023 Northwest High School and Riya Kannan class of 2023 Western High School. Assistants were Anika DuPreez Page High School; Lera Foust Randolph Early College; Diya Parikh and Jasmeh Gill Grimsley High School Girls in STEM. Video presentations by 5th through 7th graders.
- Python Programming with instructors Jonisha Josephrajan, class of 2023 Western High School and Kayleigh McKoy, class of 2023 Dudley Academy. Assistants were Tanisha Golla and Smriti Verma from Early College at Guilford; Koshala Kota from Northwest High School.
- Other volunteers were Cayden Neal from Kearns Academy and Mrs. Wendy Gaffney from AAUW Greensboro Branch.
- UNCG staff members Amy Moore and Abigail Harris were key to our successful camp, handling many details for the campers’ enjoyment such as food and T-shirts, as well as parking, signage, logistics, and compliance with UNCG Youth Programs policies and procedures.
The American Association of University Women Greensboro Branch is a 501c3 organization and an affiliate with AAUW.org. AAUW G offers STEM Education programs including camps and workshops for middle and high school students, as well as the annual Find Your STEM conference in collaboration with the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering.
