Start Smart workshop at North Carolina A&T State University.

In an effort to close the gender pay gap, AAUW Start Smart workshops are designed to teach participants how to negotiate salaries for new jobs.  Workshops focus on how to research a target salary, highlight accomplishments, and find the words and confidence to negotiate benefits and pay. Students at AAUW Partner institutions can participate in facilitator-guided virtual workshops or in-person workshops held at their institutions. Through facilitated discussion and role-play they learn the importance of budgeting, the kind of research that is essential before each job interview, and they get to  practice salary negotiation interview skills.

AAUW Greensboro workshops have been funded in part by a generous Grant from the Women’s Professional Forum Foundation. College/University Partnership Chair Saundra Yates-Evans accepted the check.
